OUR HISTORY

Our History

Our foundation was laid by John Kuck in the 1980s. While still in high school, John began working in construction and worked his way through various roles on construction sites.

After graduating from Wright State University, John spent the next 15 years in the construction business. In 1983, John set out on his own, launching J.L. Kuck General Contractors.

J.L. Kuck’s first projects were for the Staub family, beginning with facilities for a tool and dye shop and leading to a decades-long relationship with Staub Manufacturing. John, now president of the company, credits relationships like these, with clients returning year after year, that have helped his business thrive.

“We put our name on our work, so we’re always going to do the best job we can. That’s why I think our clients keep coming back, because we focus on their needs and take pride in our work.” – John Kuck

Today, J.L. Kuck General Contractors is still family owned and operated, with Todd Kuck working alongside his father to run the business. The company specializes in commercial and industrial construction projects, completing thousands of jobs for clients ranging from atomic energy labs to installation of new water main.

SAFETY MATTERS

We take safety seriously. Before each work day, the J.L. Kuck team examines each job site for safety threats, and rectifies any issues swiftly before work begins.

Our Safety Supervisor makes unannounced site visits to ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.

J.L. Kuck Employees are OSHA 30-trained, and we host weekly safety “Tool Box Talks” with our employees to ensure that safety is top-of-mind.
